Welcome, Angelina, Julia, and Tommy! The students and I are so excited to have you join our class. We are looking forward to getting to know all of you this school year. Please let us know if there is any way we can help you with your transition into La Costa Heights!
Sincerely,

Thank you to Kelly Matoso, Kristi Coari, and Natali Solomon for organizing a spooktacular Halloween party for our class yesterday! Thank you to all of our parents for contributing, volunteering, and supporting the fun, too! The kids and I had so much fun! If you haven’t turned in your $5 yet, it’s not too late. Our room parents will use some of that money toward our Winter Party as well. You can send it in to me, or give it directly to Kristi Coari.
You may have also been receiving Shutterfly emails from Mrs. Matoso. She has created an informative Shutterfly site just for our class. It will help to organize volunteers and supplies for upcoming parties. It also has pertinent calendar information, and anyone can upload photos from our parties, field trips, and other class events. I’ve added a link on the right so you can access it directly from our class web page.
Thanks!
Ms. Oyagi

Hi Ms. Oyagi’s class,
What a great year so far with Ms. Oyagi! As many of your know, our class is competing with the rest of the school to be the first to have all of our families donate to the Fund Drive. Thank you to those who’ve donated already. We’re doing really well so far — about 50 percent participation. In fact, we’re in a tie with Mr. Garner and Mrs. Hockert for the lead! If we’re the first class to reach 100 percent participation, our kids will get to come and play at the Fall Festival October 1 for free. They’ll get tickets for carnival games, raffle tickets and a bag of goodies. Game on!
Your donations pay to provide fabulous programs for our students — our enrichment programs (PE, music, technology), PTA programs, Arts Attack, instructional and classroom expenses, everything. It’s up to us to keep them. It costs the PTA about $200 per student to run these programs each year. Every donation matters. You can drop a check in the mailbox in the office, or pay online too at www.lacostaheightspta.org. You can make a one-time donation or pay in monthly installments for as little as $10 a month. We’re offering incentives too, for donations of certain amounts (LCH T-shirts, restaurant gift cards). Please give! Our programs depend on it.
Let me know if you have questions.
Go Ms. Oyagi’s class!
Thanks,
Lisa Kendall
